MOMS Club® of Leesburg-North,
VA
The Leesburg-North chapter of MOMS
Club International is part of an international non-profit organization
designed to provide socialization, support and activities for women
who have chosen to stay at home full- or part-time with their children.
Only moms living in the 20176 ZIP Code can join our particular chapter.
(To find other chapters in Loudoun County, visit our Links
page.)
Our chapter has approx. 65 members and is very active, normally offering
at least 1-2 events per week, and often more.
Our goal is to be a resource for mothers at home to meet each other,
as well as share experiences and ideas. We are dedicated to providing
fun and rewarding activities for moms and children of all ages through
playgroups, park days and outings. MOMS Club® members
share friendship and support, while their children play together in
fun, socializing activities.
Here are some of the things that make us special:
- We meet during the day, when at-home mothers most need support!
Check out our activities page for
examples of the types of things we do, both for our moms and our
kids.
- We believe being a mother shouldn't isolate you, so mothers may
bring their children with them to all MOMS Club®
functions! (Ok, for Mom's Night Out, we'd prefer to leave the kids
at home, but if you have to bring them, you can.)
- Our dues are very low (only $25 per year).
- Once a member, you'll have access to our "Chat," which
is an informal e-mail list for discussing everything from the best
pediatrician in town to which children's consignment sale pays the
most commission to consignors. Many of our members tell us that
the Chat is one of their favorite things about our chapter!
MOMS Club International
MOMS Club® International is a nonprofit corporation
and a 501(C)(3) publicly-supported charity registered with the IRS.
The organization was founded in 1983 by a mother who could not find
an organization that met during the day and allowed her to bring her
young children along. She launched the organization in California,
and now it has more than 2,000 chapters in the United States and over
100,000 members throughout seven different countries!
